A Convention For Women Internationally Trading.
More than 200 women business-leaders from across the globe convened in London for the 2nd WINTRADE Week Business Trade Summit held 25-29 September 2017. They were from a diverse range of sectors with a focus on International Trade.
WALK AWAY WITH AN ACTION PLAN
The convention program was focused on helping business find and connect with the right trading partners. The event’s was to assist entrepreneurs harness their potential and find international opportunities. Also to provide a special report on how to deploy a business trading strategy.
Thursday 28 Sept Event schedule was held at RBS/NatWest Head office in London with over 100 business women in attendance, and great speaker line-up.
How to create your Export Strategy
Ade Awokoya, Co-Founder East London Export Club, was invited to present on “How to create your Export Strategy”. His presentation focused on the advantages of exporting to get customers in new markets which lead business to grow and scaleup. Export sectors thriving include Creative & Media and Training & Education. The steps for an Export strategy include 1. Define your Value Proposition 2. Welcome address given by Heather Melville OBE, Director for Strategic Partnerships and Head of Business Inclusion Initiatives for RBS. She is an accomplished sales leader with 20+ years of experience covering global client relationships across FTSE 100-250 companies. Heather Partners with local government agencies and industry specialist forums to support the growth of entrepreneurial businesses. Heather’s passion to see more women have equal career opportunities led her to developing the RBS Focused Women’s Network.
International Trade session was an EU Panel Chaired By Carmen Breeveld -WEN
Topic: Making The Best of BREXIT . Panelists who contributed included Dr Anna Maslon-Oracz (PhD)Warsaw University and Warsaw School of Economics and Kristin Sharpe, Director of the European School of Economics. Carmen Breeveld then presented a summary with conclusion that though Brexit was inevitable an EU business partnership was still sustainable.
WINTRADE (Women In Trade), is a network that serves to break down barriers and give ease of access between Women entrepreneurs globally to facilitate the development of small and new businesses. The convention also discussed success stories, best practices and key challenges and solutions that face Women Entrepreneurs in a globalized world. This was a forum to motivate, inspire and encourage boldness, ambition and leadership.
